We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing regular stock counts, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within the warehouse. This role is crucial to our overall warehouse operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. You will be working closely with the warehouse management to identify discrepancies, resolve stock-related issues, and contribute to process improvements. Your responsibilities will include using inventory management software, conducting cycle counts, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing inventory reports. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with warehouse procedures and a strong understanding of inventory control principles are highly valued. We emphasize a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Accurately record inventory data using warehouse management systems.
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile with system data.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming materials.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide them to management.
- Ensure proper organization and labeling of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role is a plus.
- Proficiency in inventory management software is desirable.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform Lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
