This role is essential for the smooth operation of our shipping department, ensuring all outgoing orders are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for completeness and accuracy before dispatch.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized records of all shipping activities and inventory.
- Communicate shipping updates to internal teams and external customers.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned, contributing to overall logistics flow.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Follow safe Lifting practices when handling packages.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Commitment to workplace safety and using required PPE.
