  • The Team Leader Assistant plays a pivotal role in daily operations, collaborating with the Team Leader to ensure profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects are successfully managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains visually appealing store layouts and product displays.

  • Works closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, driving business results through effective collaboration.

  • Assists the Team Leader in analyzing sales data, reports, and labor metrics, providing insights to inform strategic decisions.

  • Demonstrates advanced product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products and services to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Maintains strong relationships with vendors, developing new partnerships and ensuring timely paperwork submission.

  • Works with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns and issues, promoting a culture of open communication and trust.

  • Functions as the point person and departmental lead in the absence of the Team Leader, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

  • Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution, consistently delivering excellent customer service and in-store experiences.

  • Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork, respect, and exceptional morale among Team Members.

  • Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members to provide timely and effective solutions.

  • Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members to build a high-performing team and minimize turnover.

  • Provides regular, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations, helping Team Members grow and develop in their roles.

  • Consistently communicates and models WFM vision and goals, inspiring Team Members to strive for excellence.
