Job Description

Service Advisor

We are currently looking for a Service Advisor for our Oshawa dealership.

Location: 787 Bloor St. W., Oshawa ON L1J 5Y6

Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for scheduling service repair work in a busy service department and following the progress of repairs throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephone, coordinates incoming inquiries, and schedules appointments.
  • Schedules shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customer and suppliers
  • Opens, processes, and closes daily repair orders.
  • Communicates carefully and completely with the next shift advisor by an agreed-upon method (i.e. email, notes, verbally) re: status of shop.
  • Ensures an overall safe work environment for all personnel and works in compliance with OHSA standards.
  • Check on progress of repairs and contact customers regarding changes in estimate or promised time

Requirements:

  • Professional and positive attitude with strong customer focus.
  • Highly motivated individual and ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Previous experience in Heavy Truck or Automotive Industry is preferred/asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid G Driver's License.
  • Computer skills – ADP/CDK and Microsoft Office experience an asset
  • Criminal Background check.
  • Driver's Abstract.
