*Job Purpose*
As a Commsworld Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering Telecommunications projects across all areas of our sector such as but not limited to WAN, LAN, Infrastructure and telephony.
Working within the larger Programme team you will manage day to day project defined deliverables, manage internal stakeholders, engage regularly with the end customer, provide weekly project and monthly board reports, manage Change and attend working group and programme governance meetings.
*Key Responsibilities*
_As a minimum you may be called upon to undertake all or some of these activities as required_
* Define project scope and deliverables that support business objectives.
* Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
* Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
* Develop, manage, and control project budgets
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the seamless execution of projects.
* Lead regular project meetings and provide updates to senior management.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including technical teams, clients, vendors, and executives.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure compliance with agreed governance
* Manage escalations
*Knowledge / Skills / Background / Qualifications*
· Extensive experience of working in a well governed project environment and experience of working within a Programme.
· Proven experience in Project Management using best practice methodologies, processes and approach.
· Project Management qualification, such as Prince 2 Certified Practitioner, or equivalent level of experience.
· Understanding of different project lifecycles for Telecommunications and IT projects.
· Be able to bridge the gap between low level technical detail and high-level business understanding.
· Understanding of people management skills and requirements.
· Excellent Client management skills
· Excellent planning and resource management skills
· Understanding of ITIL best practice
· Understanding and management of Project Change
· Excellent report writing and analysis skills
· Excellent understanding of project applications / tools such as MS Project, Asana, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc.
*Professional Profile*
· Demonstrable experience of delivering Telecommunications, infrastructure or IT projects.
· Knowledge and experience of the techniques for managing cross-functional teams.
· Previous experience of working on larger scale or public sector projects.
· Commercial awareness at a project level.
