We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to provide technical assistance and support to a variety of clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring seamless IT operations across various platforms. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation in computer networking, operating systems and customer service to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
The role will require the candidate to have a full, clean UK driving licence and reliable vehicle. They will be required to work 2/3 days on-site at clients premises and the remainder remotely. The work will mostly be in the Hardwicke and Bristol areas with occasional visits to Cardiff, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare locations. All work related milage will be paid at a competitive rate.
*Duties*
* Provide first & second line technical support to end-users remotely and on-site.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to computers, peripherals, and network devices.
* Software troubleshooting on Windows, macOS, and Windows Server operating systems.
* Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory/MS365 and utilise tools like Zoho helpdesk for incident tracking.
* Configure and support network components including LAN, VPNs, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and switches.
* Maintain and support Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory services.
* Support the deployment and management of software using ManageEngine, Intune or equivalent tools.
* Monitor network security measures such as firewalls and VPNs to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
* Document technical procedures and solutions clearly for future reference.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with end-users at all levels of technical expertise.
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
* Experience with desktop support across Windows 11 (including Windows Server 2016, 2019 & 2022)
* Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues within Microsoft Office suite and other common applications.
* Hands-on experience with Active Directory & MS365 applications
* Understanding of computer hardware components, upgrading hardware and maintenance.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
* Analytical skills for diagnosing complex technical problems efficiently.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
