We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of project management experience to oversee and drive projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

This role will also play a key part in developing SOPs, improving workflows, and helping capture years of industry knowledge within the team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Define project scope, steel deliverables, erection requirements, risks, and resource needs.
  • Keep projects on schedule, on budget, and aligned with fabrication, erection, and quality standards.
  • Manage key project documents - schedules, budgets, loadouts, and progress reports.
  • Provide regular updates on detailing, fabrication, materials, and field erection activities.
  • Communicate with general contractors, engineers, shop, and field teams to address design issues and project challenges.
  • Support estimating with takeoffs, RFP responses, proposals, and schedule inputs.
  • Oversee budgets, labour, subcontractors, and field crews.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, contracts, engineering specifications, and steel industry standards.
  • Track and report detailing, fabrication, and field progress using performance metrics.
  • Maintain project controls, reporting procedures, and change management processes.
  • Lead coordination meetings with internal teams, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and project management best practices.
  • Work with current Project Managers to strengthen processes, improve communication, and document internal knowledge.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across the organization.
  • Train and mentor project staff while resolving technical and operational issues.
  • Address technical problems such as drawing errors, material shortages, fabrication issues, and erection challenges.


What You Bring to Weston Manufacturing:


  • 10+ years of project management experience , preferably in structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • 2–5 years of leadership experience , such as mentoring, team leadership, or managing complex project scopes.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in project budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Proficient with structural steel detailing, shop drawings, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Airtable.
  • Experience developing SOPs, workflows, or standardized processes is a strong asset.


Preferred Skills & Experience:


  • 2–5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Airtable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledgeable in industry legislation, standards, regulations, and contract management.
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing project management is required.
  • Experience implementing process improvements is beneficial.
