Are you a skilled and safety-conscious operator? We are seeking a Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Austin, Texas! In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods within our logistics network, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of trucks, and supporting overall warehouse productivity. We are committed to a safe work environment, requiring strict adherence to safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move, stack, and stage merchandise within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure that all movements are conducted in a manner that upholds safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations is essential.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
