Join our premier logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio, as a Forklift Operator. We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. In this role, you will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport materials to and from storage areas, and assist in inventory management. Your precision and efficiency are key to maintaining our operational flow. We place the highest priority on safety, and all operators must strictly follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This demanding position requires the ability to perform substantial Lifting of up to 60 pounds and operate machinery with care. A valid forklift certification and a proven history of safe operation are required. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately.
- Transport goods to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as directed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures related to logistics.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with relevant experience.
- Proficiency in operating different forklift models.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to handle significant Lifting (up to 60 pounds) regularly.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
