Join our team as a Forklift Operator in Seattle, Washington, and become an essential part of our fast-paced logistics hub. We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Your primary role will be to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that products are handled with care and efficiency. This position requires a valid forklift operator certification and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will actively participate in pre-shift equipment checks and report any issues immediately. Excellent spatial awareness and the ability to follow precise instructions are crucial for success. We emphasize a strong culture of safety , and adherence to all company protocols, including the correct use of PPE , is mandatory. This role is vital for the smooth operation of our warehouse and plays a significant part in our overall logistics chain. You will also be involved in supporting other warehouse functions as needed, such as order picking or stocking. Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be required when not operating the forklift. We provide ongoing training to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest safety standards and operational procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and management as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics .
- Perform occasional manual lifting when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety protocols.
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , including safety glasses and vests.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems is a plus.
