Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Austin, Texas? We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials within our distribution center. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods, support inventory management, and contribute to overall operational productivity. We prioritize safety and require all operators to adhere to strict guidelines and wear appropriate PPE. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of forklift operations, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is essential for our day-to-day operations and offers a chance to be part of a reliable logistics network. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure accurate placement of inventory and timely movement of goods. Continuous training and safety refreshers are provided.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and stock rotation.
- Inspect forklifts daily for safety and operational readiness, reporting any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all procedures related to material handling and logistics.
- Perform minor maintenance on forklifts as needed.
- Responsible for safe Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification. Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to forklift operation and material handling. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 60 lbs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements. Good communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Must pass a forklift skills test and background check.
