We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse, contributing to our overall operational success. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper handling of goods.
- Stack and retrieve inventory accurately, maintaining the organization and integrity of the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring unobstructed aisles and safe passage for all personnel.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all PPE requirements.
