The Enterprise Data and Machine Learning team developing CVS Health's Machine Learning and Feature Engineering Platform is looking for an exceptional Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Hartford, CT or Wellesley, MA with remote work options. This team is building the cloud ML platform to supercharge analytics in a modern centralized ecosystem across the enterprise. As a Senior Data Engineer on the Enterprise Cloud Data and Machine Learning Engineering Platform team, you will support the build out of functionality related to the end-to-end ML and Feature lifecycle management on the Google Cloud Platform. The solution will leverage and integrate the cloud native services with existing operational, automation, and visualization tools and data platforms. The goal is to establish foundational services, automation for project and user enablement, defining best practices, and accelerators for self-service project and use case enablement. The platform serves as the enterprise standard to enable scale, security, transparency, reliability, and speed of analytical asset delivery into production. Key responsibilities include: Enable patterns to integrate with on-prem and cloud data assets across the enterprise for data exploration, feature engineering, and analytics needs (GCP bucket storage, BigQuery, Spanner, FHIR Store, Google Healthcare API, SQL, Teradata, Snowflake) Contribute to the enterprise feature store (standards, data models, features, data governance) Develop batch, near-real, and real-time data processing pipelines and patterns Develop patterns/pipelines for integrating, harmonizing and consumption of data assets formatted in various healthcare, retail, pharmacy, and insurance domains. Build visualizations for system and user monitoring on the platform to enable chargeback and audit/compliance reporting Participate in innovation and research with proof of concepts for complex transformations, notification engines, analytical engines, and self-service analytics Hybrid work model would include coming onsite approximately 1ce/week, 4x/month in Woonsocket, RI; NYC; Harford, CT or Wellesley, MA. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: Minimum: 115,000 Maximum: 230,000 Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location. Required Qualifications 5 years of hands-on experience in architecture, design, and development of enterprise data applications and analytics solutions 1 year of experience in Google Cloud Platform/Shared Services such as Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/sub, Cloud Composer, Big Query, and Health care API (FHIR store) 2 years of experience in Python Hands on experience with RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle, DB2), SQL, Python, Unix Shell scripting, JSON, and XML Preferred Qualifications Experience in developing self-service analytics dashboards in Tableau Experience with real-time data pipelines/application support in healthcare, insurance, or retail domain Working in an agile framework with cross-functional teams Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or IT related field Masters or PHD preferred Business Overview Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
