Job Posting: Senior Business Analyst
GE Vernova Grid Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD). This pivotal role focuses on optimizing and streamlining order-to-cash (O2C) processes through the effective use of the SAP system and satellite applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical and functional expertise in business processes, acting as a key systems solution specialist. This involves identifying, analyzing, refining, translating, and documenting business requirements from various business teams. Roles and Responsibilities: Demonstrate exceptional business acumen and remain informed on the latest industry trends, serving as an internal expert on SAP products and the competitive landscape. Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, refine solutions, and gather product feedback. Identify opportunities to optimize O2C processes and develop SAP-based solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Collaborate with various departments to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with business objectives. Lead and participate in SAP-related O2C projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success and effective change management. Provide training and support to end-users, covering sales, shipping, and billing best practices. Develop user manuals, training materials, and conduct workshops to enhance user proficiency. Ensure seamless integration of SAP SD modules with other enterprise systems. Conduct quality assurance validations, data migration, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Support, assist, and train users on new or modified system configurations, highlighting impacts on business processes. Maintain IT business system integrity, including application notes, system upgrades, changes, and user updates. Work closely with onsite and offshore teams, managers, and executives to ensure the release of high-quality solutions. Follow the change management process, analyzing the impact of changes to the corporate application landscape. Act as a senior business analyst, guiding and mentoring team members in providing optimal solutions and conducting peer reviews for continuous improvement. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0+ SD modules, including solution design, system configuration, development, testing, and defect debugging. Moderate understanding of various IT processes and components, including but not limited to project management, agile delivery methodology, architecture, security, and ITIL operations. Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise: Proven experience in SAP SD module, including configuration and customization. Experience/knowledge with FI and other modules of SAP like CO, MM, PP & QM will be an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in order-to-cash management. Proficient use of MS Office tools like excel, word, PowerPoint etc. Business Acumen: Proficient in the Sales and Distribution Domain, with the ability to understand business scenarios and propose digital technology solutions. Demonstrates initiative in exploring alternative technologies and approaches to problem-solving. Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating efforts. Ability to analyze the impact of technology choices. Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment. Leadership: Demonstrated customer focus, evaluating decisions through the eyes of the customer and building strong customer relationships. Pre-emptively identifies downstream consequences and tailors influencing strategies to support positive outcomes. Able to articulate decisions and downstream implications, continuously reflecting on successes and failures to improve performance and decision-making. Recognizes when change is needed and participates in technical strategy planning.
