We are hiring Picker/Packers for our distribution center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. If you are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you! You will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment, playing a critical role in our logistics chain. Your duties will include reading order slips, locating products on shelves, ensuring the correct items and quantities are picked, and then carefully packaging them for transit. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential, as is strict adherence to all Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves considerable physical activity, including regular Lifting of items up to 40 lbs. We seek individuals who are reliable, possess excellent attention to detail, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during shipping.
- Use scanners to track inventory and update order statuses.
- Label packages appropriately for shipping.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Safety practices.
