Are you a skilled tradesperson with a knack for maintaining warehouse operations? Our San Antonio, Texas location is looking for a reliable Warehouse Technician to join our team. This role involves ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our warehouse equipment and facility. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring all safety systems are functional. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and dock levelers.
- Conduct minor repairs on equipment and facility structures as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure all safety equipment and systems are operational and up to standard.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, supporting the logistics team.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance, particularly in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and compliance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with safe lifting techniques.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is beneficial.
