Our busy warehouse in Tampa, Florida is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, sort, and stack materials efficiently and safely within the facility. This role is essential for managing inventory and supporting the overall logistics flow. The ideal candidate possesses excellent forklift operation skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work productively in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and store goods in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as needed, which may involve some manual Lifting.
- Ensure efficient material handling to support warehouse logistics.
- Follow all procedures for safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting, when necessary.
- Familiarity with required PPE and its correct usage.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics principles is a plus.
