Join our dynamic team as a Shipping Clerk in Tampa, Florida, where you will play a key role in managing our outgoing logistics operations. We are seeking a responsible and organized individual to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all shipments. Your duties will involve preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying order contents, and maintaining efficient warehouse workflows. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of safety and accuracy. You will be an essential part of our supply chain, ensuring products reach our customers in excellent condition.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Verify outgoing orders against packing lists and shipping orders for accuracy.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
- Operate shipping software to track shipments and update records.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, and carriers.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed, which may involve lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
