Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma location is looking for a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include verifying orders, preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipment records. We need a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills who can manage multiple tasks efficiently. A commitment to accuracy and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial for success in this position. This role supports the critical outbound flow of goods from our distribution center. Key Responsibilities:
- Verify contents of outgoing shipments against order details.
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and filing systems.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and carrier representatives.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company logistics policies.
- Uphold a high standard of safety, including the proper use of PPE.
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role is preferred. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with shipping software, are beneficial. Ability to perform moderate lifting up to 30 pounds. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. A strong understanding of shipping processes and a commitment to safety are essential.
