Join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Material Handler! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will include receiving, unpacking, stocking, and preparing goods for shipment. We are seeking individuals who are safety-conscious, have a strong work ethic, and can contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position requires physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure the accurate and timely handling of all inventory. You will operate various material handling equipment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage and discrepancies.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus, but not required. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods. Must be reliable and punctual. A commitment to workplace safety is paramount.
