We are looking for a motivated Material Handler to join our bustling logistics hub in Boston, Massachusetts. This position plays a critical role in the smooth functioning of our warehouse, involving the receiving, stocking, and movement of various goods. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess excellent attention to detail, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards. You will work with a variety of materials and equipment, contributing to efficient operations and timely order fulfillment. Your role is key to our supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Stock materials in their designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and use required PPE, such as gloves and safety vests.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support the overall logistics process through diligent work.
- Must be capable of regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to wear and use all required PPE.
- Familiarity with basic logistics operations.
