Join our innovative logistics team in San Jose, California, as a Material Handler! This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement of products throughout our high-tech warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, playing a vital part in our supply chain operations. We are looking for individuals who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Your expertise will help us meet our demanding production schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from production areas or shipping docks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all company safety policies.
- Strictly adhere to all PPE requirements, including hard hats and safety vests when necessary.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
- Assist in the efficient flow of goods within the facility.
- Must be able to handle significant lifting, regularly moving items up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring significant strength and stamina, including frequent lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Willingness to comply with all company PPE mandates.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and inventory control principles.
