Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, lifts, racking).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and minor electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently according to operational standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse and equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new warehouse equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to minimize downtime.
- Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement in all warehouse activities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a warehouse maintenance, technician, or similar role. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment and logistics systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Commitment to workplace safety and understanding of its importance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Basic computer proficiency. Relevant certifications in maintenance or equipment operation are a plus. This is a critical role within our logistics infrastructure.
