This role is fundamental to our distribution process, involving the careful selection and packaging of goods for shipment. You will work with a variety of products, requiring focus, speed, and precision. Maintaining a safe and organized workspace is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory according to order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use handheld scanners or pick lists to guide picking and packing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory control tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily performance targets.
- Operate basic material handling equipment if trained and required.
- Support the overall flow of goods within the logistics facility.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a dynamic environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
