Join our team in Washington, D.C. as a Picker/Packer! We are seeking organized and efficient individuals to accurately select and prepare items for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the overall success of our distribution efforts. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order contents against customer information.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies, including wearing designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Meet performance targets for picking and packing.
- Must be able to handle tasks involving regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Support the efficient functioning of our logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform tasks involving Lifting for extended periods.
- Understanding and adherence to all Safety protocols.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with basic logistics operations is beneficial.
