Responsibilities include operating forklifts, managing inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. You must be adept at using various material handling equipment and possess a strong understanding of safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Receive, unload, and stage incoming materials.
- Transport goods to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Participate in team lifts and follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Support the overall logistics flow of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and commitment to using PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
