We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our operations in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of our stock. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and assisting with receiving and put-away processes. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to the efficiency of our logistics and supply chain management. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure all inventory movements are accurately tracked. We value Safety and provide appropriate training and PPE. The role may involve moderate Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Accurately record inventory data using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Assist with the receiving and put-away of incoming stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Ensure the organization and cleanliness of inventory storage areas.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize inventory control.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring accurate inventory data.
- Perform tasks that may involve light to moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and WMS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics operations.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree a plus.
- Reliability and punctuality.
