Our Baltimore, Maryland facility is looking for a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics department. This position is key to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving inventory control processes, conducting audits, and resolving any discrepancies. A strong analytical mindset and commitment to detail are essential for ensuring that our inventory data is precise, supporting seamless operations and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control procedures.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Analyze inventory data to identify patterns, predict stock needs, and suggest process improvements.
- Accurately record and track all inventory movements, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flow and management.
- Maintain meticulous records of all inventory-related transactions.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate material handling equipment as needed to facilitate inventory tasks.
- Generate comprehensive reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and other relevant metrics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field.
- Thorough understanding of inventory management systems (IMS) and warehouse operations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including occasional Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High school diploma or GED; relevant certifications or further education are a plus.
