We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Order Pickers to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to ensure order accuracy and prevent errors.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity and accuracy targets.
- Conduct regular checks of inventory to ensure proper stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Understand and follow instructions from supervisors and team leads.
- This role involves significant Lifting and movement throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Logistics processes is a plus.
