Join our bustling New York City, New York warehouse as a Warehouse Associate! We are looking for motivated individuals to support our growing logistics operations. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be involved in a variety of tasks critical to the efficient functioning of our distribution center. This includes receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Your contribution is vital to our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Sort and stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including work areas and aisles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Follow established guidelines for safe lifting and material handling.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with safety practices, including the importance of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a fast-paced logistics team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
