Your responsibilities will include unloading incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly documenting all received items. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). While this role primarily involves managing documentation and inspecting goods, some lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify received goods against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming items for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received goods appropriately.
- Report any damages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with putting away received stock as needed.
- Coordinate with shipping and inventory teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory control role.
- Familiarity with shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and PPE usage.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including light lifting.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Experience in logistics is a plus.
