We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. You will be responsible for verifying order details, packaging items securely, creating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping software and a solid understanding of warehouse procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests.
- Package products securely for transit, selecting appropriate materials.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure all required documentation is present.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate necessary equipment, such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
