Join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a Material Handler ! This role is vital to the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store goods. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced in operating various warehouse machinery, and has a strong understanding of **Logistics** workflows. This position requires adherence to strict **Safety** protocols, proper use of **PPE**, and the ability to perform tasks involving significant **Lifting** and manual dexterity. You will play a key role in ensuring that materials are available where and when they are needed. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, efficient, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Move materials to and from production, shipping, and receiving areas.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
