Are you a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator looking for a new opportunity in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania? We are seeking a skilled individual to join our expanding logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials throughout our warehouse. Your expertise in maneuvering in narrow aisles and high racking systems will be critical to maintaining productivity and order accuracy. You must have a proven track record of safe operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols. This includes the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. We emphasize a strong safety culture and expect all team members to contribute to a hazard-free environment. This position requires precision, focus, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding logistics setting. Continuous training and adherence to best practices in material handling are expected.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve palletized materials.
- Navigate narrow aisles and high storage racks to access inventory.
- Load and unload trailers as required.
- Perform routine pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper material placement and scanning.
- Ensure that all loads are stable and safely secured.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, warehouse procedures, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed during downtime.
- Contribute to a positive and safe team environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of proper Lifting techniques and load stability.
- Familiarity with using RF scanners for inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
