Our San Jose, California facility is seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage the intake of all incoming goods. This critical role ensures that inventory is accurately recorded, inspected, and staged for further processing within our logistics operations. You will be responsible for verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies or damages, and efficiently organizing received items. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving area. Adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. While this role primarily involves administrative tasks, some manual lifting may be required. Join our dedicated team and play a key part in our supply chain. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and unloading incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verifying the accuracy of received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspecting shipments for damage and reporting any issues promptly.
- Documenting all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Staging received goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal departments regarding inbound shipments.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Performing occasional manual lifting tasks as needed.
