Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in our San Francisco, California location and play a key role in our outbound logistics operations. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the accurate and timely shipment of our products. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying outgoing orders, and ensuring that all shipments meet company and regulatory standards. You will interact with various departments to ensure order accuracy and efficient dispatch. Maintaining a safe working environment is a top priority, and you must adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of mandated PPE. This role involves some Lifting and requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shipping department. You will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate deliveries. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing shipping orders and preparing necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips).
- Arranging transportation with freight carriers and tracking shipments.
- Verifying accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests.
- Inspecting outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Communicating with customers regarding shipping status and inquiries.
- Maintaining organized shipping records and files.
- Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assisting with inventory management as needed.
