We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy distribution center in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods using pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), stocking inventory, and preparing orders for shipment. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that our supply chain runs smoothly. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and committed to workplace safety. If you enjoy a physically active role and have experience in warehouse environments, we want to hear from you. A strong understanding of proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials around the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet operational goals in our logistics hub.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform significant physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
