We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing a variety of goods. Your primary focus will be on maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to following established safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for outgoing shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety and security.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred. Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds is required. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods. A commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Familiarity with basic inventory management principles is a plus. This role is integral to our logistics operations, requiring reliability and a strong work ethic. Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures is necessary.
