Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that our inventory is managed efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Experience with material handling equipment and a strong commitment to safety are essential. This position involves regular physical activity and requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We provide all necessary PPE to ensure your well-being.
Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Move materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
  • Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
  • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE .
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Report any discrepancies or damage to inventory immediately.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE .
  • Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
