We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to manage outgoing shipments at our San Francisco, California facility. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and documenting all outbound orders, ensuring they are accurately packed, labeled, and dispatched according to schedule. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details against shipping documents and customer information.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation for carriers.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and scales.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information in the system.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure correct items and quantities are shipped.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to safety standards and using appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
