Seeking dynamic Picker/Packers for our busy New York City, New York warehouse! This role is fundamental to our logistics and e-commerce operations, ensuring orders are accurately picked and meticulously packed for our customers. You will navigate our facility, using scanning technology to identify and retrieve products, and then prepare them for shipment with speed and precision. Maintaining order integrity and contributing to high customer satisfaction are primary objectives. Our commitment to a safe working environment is paramount; all employees must strictly follow safety procedures and utilize all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires agility, efficiency, and the capacity for sustained physical activity, including frequent lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order details and product codes before packing.
- Operate scanning equipment and other warehouse technology.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to meeting daily shipping volume targets.
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
- Participate in team efforts to optimize warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking and packing is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urban warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and willingness to use PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Understanding of e-commerce logistics is a plus.
