We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and maintaining organized records. Your primary responsibility will be to unload, inspect, and verify the contents of all inbound goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring that all incoming inventory is accurately documented and promptly moved to its designated storage location. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or damages. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a keen eye for detail are essential. The ideal candidate will be adept at using scanning equipment and warehouse management systems (WMS). Attention to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position requires consistent physical activity, including lifting and moving packages of varying sizes and weights. We are committed to a safe working environment and adhere to all logistics industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and containers.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities against shipping documents.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items.
- Stage incoming goods for further processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
