We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound logistics operations in Phoenix, Arizona. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier regulations. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for timely and accurate deliveries and requires excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Verify shipping information against customer orders for accuracy.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate shipping software and equipment, such as scales and printers.
- Maintain records of shipments and track packages.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their requirements.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
