Are you a skilled and safety-conscious operator? We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring materials are stored correctly. This role demands precision, excellent operational skills, and a strong commitment to safety in a busy logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and warehouse storage areas.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
