We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying delivery manifests against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately recording received items into our inventory system. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting the smooth flow of operations within our warehouse. You will collaborate closely with inventory control, dispatch, and other warehouse departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. This position requires adherence to all safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of safety in a warehouse environment and are committed to maintaining a secure workspace. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Verify shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter received items into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.
