We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials while adhering to all safety protocols. This role requires a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency to ensure timely order fulfillment and inventory management. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer specifications.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and PPE.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
