Precision and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring inventory accuracy and preventing damage to goods and equipment. A rigorous adherence to safety standards is mandatory, and you must consistently use the required PPE . This role requires a certified and experienced reach truck operator capable of handling significant lifting and maneuvering within narrow aisles. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Accurately place and retrieve inventory from racking systems at high elevations.
- Perform pre-operational checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by correctly scanning and documenting movements.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety harnesses if applicable, and safety footwear.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Support overall logistics flow and team objectives.
- Perform occasional manual lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs when not operating the reach truck.
Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck are required. Must have a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for operating heavy machinery. Ability to perform tasks that require significant lifting and precise maneuvering. Commitment to wearing all necessary PPE . Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and efficiently within a fast-paced logistics environment. Good communication skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform occasional manual tasks.
