We have an immediate opening for a skilled Reach Truck Operator in our Durham, North Carolina facility. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse. This position demands precision, speed, and an unwavering commitment to safety. You will operate a reach truck to transport, stack, and retrieve products at various heights, ensuring accurate inventory management and order fulfillment. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and safety procedures is essential. We are looking for experienced individuals who can maintain high productivity while upholding our safety standards. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. Your expertise will be key to our success. We invest in our employees with ongoing training and a strong emphasis on workplace safety, including comprehensive use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move and stack inventory in high-rise racking systems.
- Transport products from receiving areas to storage locations and from storage to shipping areas.
- Pick and put away inventory accurately according to established procedures.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Participate in inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in a physically demanding environment.
- Skilled in load handling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with general logistics and warehouse operations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
