We are seeking an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and efficient processing of goods into our warehouse. Your attention to detail will be critical in verifying deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering received items into our inventory system. This position is fundamental to maintaining inventory integrity and supporting our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies, and document any issues encountered.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming merchandise appropriately for storage or distribution.
