We are seeking a diligent Picker/Packer for our warehouse located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is critical for our order fulfillment process, ensuring that products are accurately selected and prepared for delivery to our customers. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating specified items, and meticulously packing them for shipment. Working within our logistics framework, your accuracy and efficiency directly impact our service levels. We maintain a strong focus on safety, and all employees must comply with safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from inventory based on pick lists or electronic orders.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Inspect items for any damage or defects prior to packing.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Utilize warehouse technology such as scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Meet established goals for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Report any order discrepancies or stock issues to supervision.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret order documents. Must be physically able to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods. A strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work efficiently under time constraints in a fast-paced environment. Good organizational skills and reliability are essential.
